Heads up about the new comic shop on 5th Street
I stopped into that new place, 'The Vault', yesterday and the whole back wall is just Funko Pops and statues. I counted maybe three short boxes of actual comics for sale. The owner said he's 'pivoting to collectibles' because comics don't sell. Feels like we're losing a real shop. Has anyone found a good spot with a decent back issue selection lately?

That "pivoting to collectibles" line hits hard. My buddy went to a shop that did the same thing, and now he just orders everything online. It's a real shame when the actual comics become an afterthought.

Check the thrift stores and used book places on the outskirts of town... they sometimes get old collections and just want them gone. It's how I filled a bunch of holes in my X-Men run. Totally get what @flores.emma means about it feeling like a loss though. The hunt is part of the fun and a wall of pops just isn't the same. My last good find was at a flea market, some guy had long boxes under his table. You gotta look in the weird spots now.
