Just learned how many copies of Amazing Fantasy #15 were printed

I was reading an old interview with a former Marvel production manager from the 60s. He mentioned they printed about 209,000 copies of Amazing Fantasy #15, the first Spider-Man comic. I always pictured it as this super rare thing, like maybe 50,000 copies. Finding out it was over 200k blew my mind. It puts the whole 'key issue' market into a different light for me. That number is from a direct source, not just a guess online. It makes you think about how many just got thrown out or damaged over the years. Has anyone else come across a print run fact that really shifted how you see a classic book?

Yeah, and that's just the print run. The real question is how many are left in decent shape after all this time.

Oh man, don't even get me started... my own stuff from a few years ago is already falling apart.

My 2018 blender died last month. @kimw57 is right, stuff just doesn't last anymore. Feels like everything's made to break now.
