My LCS guy in Portland said variant covers are killing the hobby and I had to tell him he's wrong
He said it at the counter 3 weeks ago while I was buying a $4.99 reprint, and I told him variants got my little brother into reading comics. Am I the only one who thinks gatekeeping like that pushes new fans away?

Been there, my old shop guy pulled the same thing on me and I just stopped going there. Find a shop that stocks variants without judging you, or just buy online, life's too short to argue with some dude at a counter lol.
