Pro tip: I stopped bagging and boarding every single issue after my shelf collapsed in 2019
I used to buy bags and boards for every book, even dollar bin stuff nobody would ever want. Then my shelf in my garage in Boise gave out and I spent a Saturday digging through 400 bagged comics that were mostly junk anyway. Now I only bag the stuff worth over $20 and the rest just sits in short boxes loose. Does anyone else feel weird leaving a comic unbagged, or is that just me holding onto a habit?
I felt the same way for years and still bagged everything from my LCS even after I moved to a small apartment with zero shelf space. Then my girlfriend pointed out I was spending more on bags and boards each month than the books were actually worth, and that hit me hard. Now only the keys and anything over $20 gets a bag, and honestly the loose books in short boxes have been totally fine.
