Showerthought: I sorted my long boxes by color instead of title and found 9 books I forgot I owned
Last weekend I was avoiding a pull list audit and decided to redo my shelf setup as a joke, putting runs together by spine color rather than alphabet, and flipping through that way made me stop on stuff I'd skimmed past for two years. Turns out grouping by color made me actually pull books out and read the first few pages, and I found a 3 issue indie run I'd bought at a con in Cleveland in 2022 and never opened. Does anyone else rearrange their collection on a dumb whim like that and end up reading more, or am I just easily amused?
Sorting 400 comics by spine color doesn't make you read more, it just makes you look at the covers again. That Cleveland run is still unread, you just moved it around and felt productive.
