That time my local shop's 'big event' was just a bad sale
Last month, The Comic Vault in Springfield hyped up a '90s X-Men anniversary event for a whole week. They said it would have signings and rare books, but it was just a 15% off sale on back issues nobody wanted. I spent $40 on gas to get there and felt totally let down. Everyone online acts like these small shop events are always amazing, but this one was just a cash grab. Has anyone else had a big comic book day turn out to be a real dud?

That sounds like a total rip-off.

Notice it everywhere now, not just at the movies. It's like every company decided to shrink the product but keep the same price, or just jack it up for no clear reason. My grocery bill keeps climbing for the same basic stuff. Feels like we're all just getting squeezed a little more each week, doesn't it?

Ugh, tell me about it... I paid like $12 for a tiny bag of chips at the movies last week. It's gotten so bad.

@nancy_king29 did you at least get a decent size bag for that $12? Feels like they're charging premium prices for snack sizes now. What's next, $8 for a single pickle?
