Dropped $340 on a "wet welding" class in Houston and the whole thing was just YouTube videos in a rented room
Signed up for a 2 day course at a shop near the ship channel, paid $340, and the instructor played clips off a laptop while we sat in plastic chairs, never touched a rod or got near water. He said we could practice "on our own time" and handed out a printed PowerPoint, and three guys in my class want to split a real lesson from a working diver at a yard in Galveston. Is it worth chasing a hands on class there, or should I save the cash and just log hours on a real job?
