Pro tip: 3 years of scrubbing grout off my neck versus one $9 bottle of barrier cream
Between 2020 and 2023 I scrubbed my neck raw after most shifts, then a 58 year old tender named Wes handed me a bottle of barrier cream last October and the grime now wipes off with a dry rag. Part of me thinks it is just that my suit seal got better and the cream is doing nothing. Has anyone actually tested this stuff side by side or am I rubbing $9 lotion on for no reason?

Test it yourself with the cheapest control you have: put the cream on one side of your neck only, leave the other bare, and work a few shifts like that. Wes might just be right and your seal might also be better, but splitting the test tells you which one is doing the work instead of guessing. Nine bucks is cheap enough to find out for sure.
