Capacitor plague caught me off guard on a 2011 motherboard

Last month I went to recap an old Dell OptiPlex from a client in Rockford, Illinois and the top of the CPU VRM caps were bulging like tiny soda cans. I had not seen that many swollen caps in one board since the bad batch era around 2007. Ended up replacing all 6 of them with 105C Panasonic parts and it posted on the first try. Anyone else still running into this on systems that sat in hot warehouses for a decade?

Those warehouse OptiPlexes from 2010-2012 were the last of the bad cap era too.

Wasn't the bad cap thing mostly sorted by like 2005 or so?
