I used to waste hours reimaging drives one by one, now I clone 4 at once with a cheap duplicator

Switched to a $50 SATA duplicator last year after a client dropped off 30 identical laptops for a refresh and I was stuck there until 9pm. Has anyone else swapped from manual USB docks to a standalone cloner for batch jobs?

I used to waste hours reimaging drives one by one" - ok but how much time are you actually saving on the prep side? Like, are you just popping drives in raw or are you still having to do the initial setup on each one before you clone? Because I found with my duplicator I still had to boot each one to verify the BIOS settings (you know, making sure boot order and stuff was right) and that ate up a chunk of time too. What's your workflow look like after the cloning finishes?

30 identical laptops though? That sounds like a nightmare yes but not exactly a weekly thing either. I feel like people act like a duplicator is some game changer when it's really just for those rare big batches.

You boot each one to check BIOS? That's wild.
