That one Tuesday where three different clients all had the same bizarre printer issue
I swear last Tuesday was cursed or something. Three separate calls came in about HP LaserJets (you know, those old 4000 series tanks) where the paper was coming out with this weird wavy pattern on one side. First guy thought it was a drum problem, second lady was sure it was a fuser, third was just mad. Turns out after an hour of head scratching at each location, they all had this cheap aftermarket toner from the same sketchy Amazon seller. The toner cartridge was leaking in a weird spot and messing with the transfer roller. I told the third guy to just buy OEM toner and he looked at me like I suggested he sell a kidney. Has anyone else run into a bad batch of toner that caused a repeating defect like this?

Heard about a guy who had the same issue with those Amazon toner refills.

Right, but was it the same exact printer model? I swear these off-brand toner cartridges can be hit or miss depending on which generation your machine is. I've heard some people say the chips in those refills just don't talk to the printer right after a few pages. Did he mention if it was a laser or inkjet?

Hang on, actually @susan81, toner is technically for laser printers and ink is for inkjets. So if he's buying toner refills and hearing those chip complaints, it's definitely a laser printer he's dealing with. Just a small mix-up in the terms there.
