Hit 10,000 square feet today on a single pour

Started the day thinking we'd do maybe 6,000, but the crew was on fire and the weather held. Troweled that last section right at 5 PM and just stood there for a second. Has anyone else had a pour just click like that where everything lined up?

Ain't it funny how those perfect days feel like they happen by accident? The crew just gets in this zone where nobody's even talking much, just moving and knowing what the other guy's gonna do before he does it. Had a warehouse slab two years back where we planned for eight hours and knocked it out in five. That's the kind of day that keeps you coming back, even after the ones where the pump breaks and the mud stiffens up on you.

damn that is a good feeling when it all just works out like that. we had a roof deck last summer where we planned for two days and the crew just didnt stop. weather was perfect, concrete was flowing right, and we wrapped up a full 12k pour by 3 pm. stood on the edge of that thing and just watched it set up like glass. its those days that make up for the ones where everything fights you.

Nothing beats watching that slab set up like glass after everything goes right.

Hate those perfect days, makes the next bustup feel twice as bad when you get spoiled like that.
