Hit 100,000 square feet of flatwork last Friday. Didnt even realize.
Poured a warehouse floor in Cleveland. 40,000 square feet. Owner wanted F-min spec. We hit it. Got me thinking about numbers. Checked my records. I've done 102,000 feet this year. That blew my mind. Anyone else keep a running tally of their yearly yardage?

110,000 in Detroit? That's a staggering number for that market. I've heard the winters can really slow things down there, so squeezing out that kind of yardage in a shorter season is some kind of record. Was that mostly big warehouse slabs too, or did he mix in a lot of driveways and sidewalk work? Because 110k in pure flatwork is a whole different animal than if you're counting small residential jobs. Just trying to wrap my head around how you even get that much concrete placed in a place like Detroit.

Pivot off the numbers game entirely, @charles720, and look at the logistics. That 110k likely didn't come from one crew running all year. Bet he subbed out portions or had a batching plant on site for the big slabs. Warehouses in Detroit often have their own rail spurs or truck staging areas, so you can pour faster in the dead of winter by heating the mix and using insulated blankets. The yardage itself is less impressive than the supply chain and scheduling he had to pull off just to keep trucks rolling in January.

Cleveland's 102,000 feet sounds impressive but my buddy did 110k in Detroit last year.
