Shoutout to the old guy at the supply yard in Boise who told me to wet my bull float

I was working a big garage slab last summer and this retired finisher watching me said, 'Kid, spray that thing down before you touch the mud.' I thought he was nuts, it was already a hot day. But I tried it on a corner and the concrete just laid down smooth with zero sticking. Saved me a ton of time fighting the drag. Anyone else get a random tip that actually worked?

Oh man, I know that feeling! I finally caved and got a decent non-stick pan last year after burning through so many cheap ones.
