Spent $450 on a power trowel blade set and it tore up the slab

I figured buying the expensive blades would give a smoother finish on this garage floor job over in Fresno. Within 20 minutes on the second pass they started chattering and left gouges that I had to patch by hand. The cheap set I usually grab for $120 at the local supply house never gave me that trouble. Ended up grinding the whole thing down and redoing it the next day, which cost way more in time than I saved on blades. Anyone else had a brand new blade act worse than the worn ones you replaced?
