Tried a magnesium float on a driveway pour in Phoenix today
Had a 95 degree day and figured the stickiness would be an issue, but that float actually pulled the cream way smoother than my usual aluminum one. Anyone else found a go-to float for hot weather pours?

You said "pulled the cream way smoother" - were you using a mag float with a foam insert or just straight magnesium?

My buddy Dave once used a drywall trowel on his old van's paint and it came out like glass somehow.

Man I feel you on this, Dave sounds like one of those guys who just gets it done with whatever's in the garage and somehow makes it work. That's the kind of raw skill that comes from trial and error, not from watching tutorial videos. Nothing beats seeing a buddy pull off something that clean with a tool nobody would think of using that way.
