Tried a power trowel on a big warehouse slab in Tampa last month and now I'm spoiled
My old crew always hand finished everything because the boss said power trowels leave swirls, but this guy let me use his for a 40,000 square foot floor and it came out flat as glass in half the time. Has anyone else switched over and never looked back?

@beth_park is it really that deep? Just run the trowel right and move on.

40,000 square feet with a power trowel and no swirls is pretty solid work, did you have to run it at a lower speed or use a certain blade angle to get that finish? Your old boss probably never had a good enough machine or a guy who knew how to handle one without leaving those marks. How long did he take to teach you the trick before he let you loose on that slab?
