Update: That pour in Tacoma last Tuesday went sideways fast

We had a 40 yard slab scheduled, but the plant sent the mix with WAY too much water. The boss kept saying 'just work it in,' but by the time we started finishing, it was like soup. Anyone have a good line to shut that down with a foreman before it's too late?

Look at it from the foreman's side, he's under pressure to keep the job moving. Sometimes you just have to make a wet mix work to hit the schedule. A little extra water isn't always a disaster if you manage the finish right.

Man, that's the worst feeling when you see a bad mix show up.

Just adding water to hit a schedule? @murray.robert that's how you get major cracks in a month. The whole strength is gone, it's not about the finish. Seen it ruin a foundation pour.
