Caught a weird bit of a radio show about the Denver airport art

I was driving through Colorado yesterday and a local talk radio host was going on about the murals there. He said one specific piece, the one with the dead soldier and the crying children, has a plaque that reads '1994' but the airport opened in '95. Just that one year gap. Made me wonder if anyone has actually gone and checked the dates themselves, or if it's another story that got twisted. What's the most solid fact-check you've seen on this whole thing?

Honestly, that date thing is probably just a paperwork mix-up... artists finish pieces early all the time. People read way too much into airport art.

My memory's so bad, shane327, I'd probably check the plaque and forget the date.

Oh, that discrepancy always gave me the creeps too.

Ugh, my friend swears she saw a painting in a hotel that was dated two years after the place burned down.
