Dropped $200 on a '5G blocker' pouch and I still got a headache, now I feel like a clown
Bought it off some site three weeks ago after watching a 40 minute video about towers near my apartment in Phoenix. My phone bars dropped to one in my kitchen but my neighbor's Wi-Fi still cooks me alive, so what did I actually pay for? Has anyone here actually tested one of these things with a meter or am I just out 200 bucks?
Watched a buddy of mine go down this exact hole last year, bought two different pouches and a little meter off Amazon to test them. The meter showed almost no drop at all when he wrapped his router in the pouch, and the bars on his phone dropping in one room is just normal building stuff, walls and fridges block signal. What really got him was the Wi-Fi, since that's a totally different frequency than cell towers and no pouch is gonna stop your neighbor's router from blasting through drywall. He ended up returning one and eating the cost on the other, said the only thing that changed was his bank account. If you still have the box, check the return window before it closes, because $200 is a lot for something that basically just blocks your own phone.
