Got scammed by a paid astrology reading group on Telegram
I joined this Telegram group back in March that promised personalized astrology readings for $50 a month. The admin kept posting these vague predictions about my life that could apply to anyone. After three months I realized I paid $150 total for nothing but generic horoscopes they copy pasted from free websites. I asked for a refund and they blocked me immediately. It was a total waste of money and I feel dumb for falling for it. Has anyone else dealt with these paid prediction groups that sound too good to be true?

My buddy fell for one of those "spiritual coaching" monthly subscription groups and paid $200 before realizing it was just a bot reposting quotes from Pinterest. Did you try calling your bank to dispute the charges?

That's a tough lesson, but respectfully, I see this a little different. A $50 charge for a monthly reading group isn't some crazy red flag in my book since real astrologers often charge that for a single session. The real issue here is the obvious lack of personalized work and the blocking, which is just bad business. From my experience, paying for anything "vague" and "copy-pasted" is a pretty clear sign they're not serious, but the scam itself isn't in the price tag. It's the admin promising you tailored predictions and then ghosting you like that. Your bank might help with the charges, but the real value is just being smarter next time. Take this with a grain of salt, but a lot of these groups are just people trying to make a quick buck off hope.
