I finally paid $150 for a full background check on that 'whistleblower' video everyone was sharing.

Turns out the main guy was a paid actor with a record for fraud, which the uploader never mentioned. Has anyone else actually spent money to verify a viral claim and been shocked by what you found?

Spending real money to fact check internet videos seems a bit much. Most viral stuff is fake, and you usually find that out for free if you wait a week. The real shock is that someone paid $150 to confirm what everyone already guessed.
