My brother bet me $50 the Denver airport tunnels hide something, so I read the actual construction records and now I owe him
I picked the boring answer (it's just a train system) over his lizard people theory, and 3 hours in the Arapahoe County archive later I found a 1993 budget line for the tunnels that matched the public blueprints almost dollar for dollar, so does anyone have a conspiracy that actually survived somebody checking the paperwork?

Matching the budget line to the blueprints is exactly what they'd want you to find, since the whole point of a cover story is that it holds up to a quick check. Ever notice how nobody ever audits the digging that happened before the budget line existed?
