My uncle said I was embarrassing the family by sharing flat earth stuff on Facebook so I changed one thing
My uncle in Bakersfield called me out at a family BBQ last summer and said my flat earth posts made me look like a joke, not a truth teller. That stung because he is the one guy who actually reads everything I send him. So I quit dumping memes and now I write out the actual math, like the 8 inches per mile squared drop rate, and walk people through it step by step. My reply rate went up 4x and two coworkers in Fresno asked me for links instead of rolling their eyes. Do you think the meme approach ever works or does it just make us look lazy to people who might listen?
