Pro tip: that "quick" custom ROM install took me 8 hours on Sunday
I thought I could flash a new ROM on my old Pixel in 30 minutes before football, but I hit a bootloop and then spent 6 hours tracking down the right vendor partition. Anyone else have a simple project turn into a whole day?

The first thing i do now is check xda for a known working combo of factory image and recovery before i touch anything. Also started keeping a folder on my desktop with the exact vendor, bootloader, and radio files i need for each device. Saves me from the sunday night panic of trying to find a random 2019 vendor image on some russian file host.

Yeah I do that with my cars too, keep a folder of part numbers and service manuals.
