Update: My conspiracy theory about neighbor's lights finally got debunked at 2am

I was sitting on my porch in Denver last night watching my neighbor's porch light flicker on and off every 12 seconds, totally convinced it was some coded signal. Turns out his motion sensor was just busted and a tree branch was triggering it in the wind. Has anyone else had a mundane explanation ruin a good mystery like that?

Ha, I just heard something similar about a guy who thought his neighbor was hiding treasure.

Bought a cheap metal detector on Amazon and found my neighbor's lost keys once @hannah_west39.

Whoa, that's actually kind of wild when you think about it. I bet that neighbor probably thought someone stole them or they just vanished into thin air. It makes me wonder how many lost things are just sitting right under our feet but we never think to check because we assume they're gone forever. People spend a ton of time blaming each other for stuff that just fell through a crack or got kicked under a bush. So in a way, that cheap detector paid for itself with the good karma alone.
