Won over my department in a debate about hidden camera fears

People were convinced the new security cameras were for spying on breaks. I showed them the policy that limits recording to public areas only. After a good discussion, everyone agreed it was a misunderstanding. Feels GREAT to solve a problem with facts instead of fear.

But why was the policy so unclear to start with? That kind of vague wording just lets rumors grow. Getting it fixed in writing is what actually stops the next round of gossip.

During our office update last month, everyone was sure the new cameras watched the break room. I pulled up the system settings on the shared screen to prove they were off in private areas. @alice_williams99, seeing is believing and it shut down the rumors fast!
