Can we talk about the day a new concrete sensor saved a whole pour?
We had a 40-yard slab scheduled in Tacoma, and the forecast turned cold overnight. The sensor's live data showed the core temp dropping faster than we thought, so we got the blankets on two hours early. Has anyone else had a tech tool step in and prevent a real mess like that?

Oh man, absolutely. What kind of sensor were you using? We had a similar scare on a foundation in Spokane last fall. Our monitor flagged a hot spot that turned out to be a bad batch mix starting to flash set. We caught it before the finishers even got on it, saved us from having to sawcut and patch a huge section.

Our crew in Tacoma used to just go by feel and timing until a sensor caught a 20-degree spike in a slab last year. That one reading showed us exactly where a water line had leaked into the mix. Now I won't pour without real-time data on the truck.

So you guys use the sensors on the truck itself? That's smart, catching a leak like that before it's buried in the slab is a total game changer.
