DAE see more reclaimed wood in projects lately?
Seeing a lot more reclaimed wood in projects lately. It's good for the environment. Sourcing can be a headache though. But clients are asking for it. Makes me think sustainable building is taking off.

Totally. It's great for the planet, but I wonder how long it can last as a trend. Like, there's only so much good old barn wood out there, right? If everyone wants a reclaimed feature wall, we might just run out. Then you're just burning fuel to ship old boards across the country, which misses the point. Feels like the next real step is using new wood from forests they grow back fast.

Wait, you actually think they're shipping old barn wood across the whole country? That's nuts if true. I just figured it was all local, you know, from farms falling down in your own state. Burning a ton of fuel to move old wood totally wrecks the whole green idea. Makes it just another dumb trend where people miss the actual point.

Tbh, I read that shipping reclaimed wood far away cancels out the green benefits.
