Dropped $150 on a laser level and it was worth every penny
I was using a spirit level for weeks on a drywall grid job in Phoenix til I borrowed a buddy's green laser. Now I can square up a room in 15 minutes instead of an hour. Anyone else make the switch and wonder why you waited so long?

My buddy Tim spent 3 hours redoing a bathroom he messed up with a bubble level.

Did Tim have a bad experience with the bubble level, or was he just rushing the job? A laser is great, but three hours sounds like there was a bigger problem than just the tool he picked. Curious if he blamed himself or the gear after all that rework.

Wait I think you misread - the OP was using a bubble level for weeks, not a spirit level for three hours. Tim probably just needed a laser all along.
