I finally tested a drone for roof inspections instead of climbing up there
I got a cheap DJI Mini last month to check a tricky flat roof on a warehouse in Austin, thinking it would just save me some ladder time. Instead, it caught a hidden ponding issue from the drone camera that I would have totally missed if I walked up there. Has anyone else switched to drones for inspections and found stuff you normally overlook?

Did you check if your drone's camera caught any heat spots from moisture trapped under the gravel? I've seen those turn into bigger leaks a few months later because the sun bakes the trapped water and weakens the membrane. That low angle from the sky really changes what you notice compared to walking around up there.

A buddy of mine from nursing school used his son's drone to check his own gutters and found a family of raccoons living in a spot he never would have noticed from the ground. @theajohnson, your point about the camera angle changing what stands out is exactly what he said.
