Pro tip: check your laser level's calibration before a big pour
We had a foundation pour for a garage in Spokane go sideways because the old DeWalt laser was off by a quarter inch over 40 feet. The crew spent half a day chipping out the high corner before we could reset the forms. Anyone have a good routine for checking calibration weekly?

Totally feel this. My old Bosch got me on a kitchen tile job, was off just enough that the whole pattern ran downhill. I do a version of what @shanec61 said now, using two fixed pins on opposite walls of my garage. Flip the laser and check it hits both. Takes maybe three minutes and saves so much headache.

How often do you actually check yours? I used to just trust mine was fine until it cost me a whole morning fixing a door frame. Now I pick a known straight wall and mark a spot, flip the laser around to the other end, and see if it hits the same mark. Takes two minutes every Monday. That quarter inch over 40 feet is exactly the kind of sneaky error that ruins your week.
