Tape measure vs laser on a 30 foot commercial wall

Been doing finish work for years and finally got a proper laser level, a Bosch GLL3-80. On a recent drywall layout in an old mill building here in Lowell, the studs were anything but square. Tape and chalk line took me about 25 minutes for one wall and I still ended up with a wobble in the middle. Swapped to the laser with a target plate, did the same layout in under 8 minutes and everything hit within an 1/8 inch. Anyone else find the switch to laser just makes the old methods feel like guessing?

Ha, the laser's great but tape and chalk are still the truth for long runs!
