TIL my drone survey saved 12 hours of layout work on a Denver site
Everyone says drones are just for show, but the data cut our ground crew's marking time from two days to one morning. What's a tech tool you were wrong about?

Yeah, that "software glitch" turning a fence into a bulldozer is the kind of headache that makes you want to throw the whole tablet in the river.

That story about the fence line through the building is a total nightmare. It's the exact kind of thing that makes crews hate new tech. You invest all that time and hope, only to get junk data that sets you back. It must be so frustrating to feel like you can't trust the tool that's supposed to help. What did they end up doing to fix that mess?

I've seen the opposite happen on a few sites. A crew I know in Colorado Springs spent more time fixing drone mapping errors than they saved. The data showed a fence line going right through a building because of a software glitch. Sometimes the old way with a transit and stakes is just more reliable.
