Tried a drone for site measuring, got my numbers way off at first

I used a DJI drone with photogrammetry software to measure a foundation footprint in Austin last month. The software said 42.7 feet but my tape measure said 40.2, turns out I forgot to set the ground control points correctly. Has anyone else had calibration issues with drone surveys or is it just me?

Damn, I saw a YouTube video where that exact thing happened to some surveyor dude, apparently the barometric pressure messes with it if you don't calibrate right.

Wait, isn't that more about GPS signal issues than barometric pressure?
