Watched a foreman push back on BIM data from the office last Thursday in Phoenix
He stood there with the tablet and said 'this model shows a duct where my crew already hung pipe' and refused to follow it until they rescanned the ceiling. Has anyone else dealt with field guys ignoring coordinated models because the site changed faster than the updates?

Can't tell you how many times I've shown up to an open house and realized the floor plan I printed is from last week's renovation. @dylan463 hit it right - the guys with the wrenches know what's actually up there. My BIM skills are about as good as my ability to parallel park a minivan.

Isn't it funny how that gap between the plan and the real thing shows up everywhere? I see it all the time in my own life, like when recipes online turn out nothing like the photo. The digital version is always cleaner, but the messy reality is what actually matters.

Heard a PM say last week that the field guys are the ones who actually have to make it work, not the model. Kinda tough when the digital world and the real world aren't synced up.
