Old timer at the Port of Oakland set me straight

Guy named Rick, been running cranes since the 70s. Told me I was swinging the load too fast. Said I was gonna snap a cable or worse. Changed my whole rhythm. Now I take 30 extra seconds on every pick, feel way safer.

Rick's got it right. People don't realize how much damage fast swinging does over time. That extra half minute saves a lot of headaches and worse. Feel like too many new guys got that go-go-go mentality from watching TikTok or something. Safety never goes out of style, especially around heavy loads.
