PSA: I wrote off pre-lift walkarounds for 4 years until a near miss in Beaumont last month
For 4 years I did my inspection from the cab door, figured a slow glance was enough on a 60 ton rig. Last month at a job site in Beaumont I walked the full circle before a pick and found a hydraulic hose rubbing on the boom pivot that I never would've caught from the seat. Now I do the whole loop every single shift, takes 4 minutes. Any of you got a spot on the machine that's easy to skip when you're rushing?
