Switched from a lattice boom to a hydraulic and never looked back

I always thought lattice booms were the only way to go for heavy lifts until I ran a Liebherr LTM 1050 on a bridge job in Nashville last month. The setup time alone cut 3 hours off my day, and the load charts were way easier to read on the fly. Anyone else make the switch and find it hard to go back?

That LTM 1050 is nice, but the 1050 isn't a lattice boom truck, actually.

So what made you finally ditch the lattice?

it's kinda like how everything else in life is going digital i swear. even my dad's old hardware store stopped using paper slips now they got a tablet at the counter for invoices. once you get used to that quick setup and clean controls the old ways just feel clunky and slow, like messing with a flip phone after you've had a smartphone for years. the chart thing too, i caught myself pulling up the pdf on my phone instead of flipping through the binder and it just clicked how much time that saves you over a whole week.
