That moment when the load line got tangled in a tree and I had to call the office
Job site out near Elm Street last Tuesday. Old oak tree right near the drop zone, should have been flagged but wasn't. Swung the boom around to grab a bundle of steel beams and my line snagged a branch. Spun the load around like a carnival ride. Had to set everything down, shut the engine off, and climb up with a ladder to untangle it while the foreman watched and laughed. Took me 45 minutes and I got dust in my eyes. Anyone else dealt with surprise tree branches turning your lift into a circus act?

Had one drop a bucket of bolts last spring, scared the crap out of everyone.

Honestly, I used to think those stories were just people exaggerating for attention. But @ruby659, your experience with that bucket of bolts really shifted my view after I saw something similar happen at a friend's place last fall. A whole ratchet set came crashing down from a second story lift, and the sound was insane, plus it left a dent in the concrete. Now I'm way more cautious about double checking everything before folks start working overhead.

Oh come on, are we really acting like a dent in concrete is a near-death experience now? @ruby659 I bet that bucket of bolts made more noise than actual danger.
