Hit a 720 credit score this morning after 14 months of work

I kept seeing people jump into credit repair buying tradelines and disputing everything at once, but focusing on just paying down two old collections one at a time got me way farther. Anybody else find slow and steady actually works better than blasting the bureaus?

My cousin tried the blasting method and they froze his reports for six months.

A 2019 Consumer Reports article I saw said the big three credit bureaus each get over 10,000 complaints a year about frozen reports and disputes. Blasting seems like it just makes them lock everything down tight to cover themselves from the flood. I think a slower, more careful approach with one letter at a time works better than trying to force their hand all at once.

Totally agree with you on that. I think the patience game is way more effective because when you come at them slow and steady they actually have to process each thing instead of just throwing up a wall.
