I used to think paying for rent reporting was a total scam
I mean, I saw ads for services that report your rent to credit bureaus and figured it was just another way to get money from people. But my friend in Phoenix kept telling me to try one, so I signed up for a $6.95 a month plan with a company called RentTrack about 8 months ago. After four months of on-time payments showing up, my Experian score went up 22 points. It's not magic, but it actually works if your landlord doesn't report. Has anyone else tried this and seen a real bump?

Yeah, same thing happened with my score, it's legit.

So did you see a bigger jump after the full eight months? I'm wondering if the longer history helps even more.
