Paid $150 for a 'credit repush' service that did nothing I couldn't do myself

Back in March I got a letter from a company saying they could fix a late payment on my TransUnion report for $150. They said it was a special repush service that mortgage lenders use. I paid it. All they did was file a dispute online the same way I could have done for free. The late payment stayed. Has anyone else fallen for one of these middleman credit repair outfits?

Call your bank and dispute the charge. They usually side with you on stuff like this.

Honestly same thing happened to me last year with some random subscription I forgot about. I called and they reversed it in like 5 minutes. Banks are pretty chill about this stuff usually.
