That clean credit report from a 'specialist' took 7 months to actually fix

I paid $300 to a guy in Phoenix who promised to remove a bogus collection, and it took 7 months, three dispute letters, and one CFPB complaint before TransUnion finally dropped it, has anyone else seen these supposed quick fixes drag out way past what they claim?
