TIL my old bank's credit monitoring service was missing 2 accounts that showed up on my mortgage application pull.
I used to just check my bank's free score, but after a lender in Austin flagged those old cards last month, I now pull my full reports from all 3 bureaus myself every 4 months before even thinking about applying for a home loan.

Wait, so your own bank's monitoring just skipped over two whole accounts? That's a huge miss. What kind of accounts were they, like old store cards you forgot about? I'd be furious if that messed with my mortgage rate.

Old store cards I forgot about" is giving them way too much credit. They missed a whole credit card and a line of credit I use all the time. Their system must just close its eyes and guess.
