Vent: Picked a rapid rescore service over waiting 6 months for manual disputes

Paid $150 for a rapid rescore to fix two late payments on my mortgage report, and it updated in 4 days versus the 8+ weeks the credit bureau quoted. Has anyone else risked the faster route and gotten burned on documentation?

charlies37 is right about keeping those emails. I did a rapid rescore for a similar issue with an old car loan that showed up wrong on my report. I had to send them the original payment confirmation from the bank, plus a letter from the lender admitting the mistake. It took about a week to update. I kept everything in a folder on my laptop just in case, but I never needed it after that. Just make sure you have solid proof of the correct info before you pay for the faster service.

jenny_lane12 is right about keeping those emails, because the credit bureaus aren't exactly your buddy if something goes wrong. I had a similar situation with a student loan mixup, and even though the rescore fixed it fast, I made sure to have a PDF of the lender's letter plus a screenshot of the payment history saved in two spots. One slip up on their end and you're back to fighting for months, so treat that paperwork like you're getting audited.

Keep all those confirmation emails just in case they try to reverse it later.
