Hit 40 episodes of my little cult podcast and a survivor from Waco emailed me
I started a podcast about cults back in January with a $60 mic and no clue what I was doing, mostly just me talking into it after my kid went to bed. Last Thursday the download count on the show passed 40,000 total, which is way more than the 12 listeners I figured I'd get. But the part that got me was a woman who grew up in a group in Waco in the 90s sent me a message saying my episode on mind control matched what she went through. I sat in my car in the driveway for like ten minutes just staring at my phone. If you make anything about this stuff, what was the moment somebody with real experience reached out to you?
