Last month my cousin got pulled into one of those online coaching groups that calls itself a family. I bought this pricey workbook from a survivor's website thinking it would show me how to talk her out. Instead it was mostly journal prompts and generic advice. But a random thread on this very board taught me to focus on the specific promises they made her, like the $2,000 a month income guarantee.
