Found out 123456 is still a top 10 password in 2025 and I finally locked my router down
I was poking around a data breach report from NordPass last Tuesday and saw that 123456 is still sitting at number one for most common passwords, which blew my mind. That same list had like 80% of the top 20 being stuff you could guess in 5 tries. So I went and checked my home router admin page and yeah, it was still on the default login from 2019. Took me 10 minutes to change it to something with 16 characters and turn on the firewall logging. Anyone else guilty of leaving factory settings on their gear way too long?
