I finally got my old password manager to work after a rough patch

About two weeks ago, my password manager just stopped syncing across my devices. It was the one I've used for years, and suddenly my phone showed one set of passwords while my laptop showed another. I spent a whole evening trying to fix it, checking my internet and restarting everything. I even dug out the old printed backup codes from a drawer (which was a mess, by the way). In the end, I had to completely uninstall it from my phone and set it up fresh, which took about an hour to get all the logins sorted again. It made me think about how much we rely on these tools now, compared to just writing things down or reusing the same few passwords everywhere. It was a good push to check that my backup recovery method was actually up to date. Has anyone else had a sync problem like that and found a better way to handle it?

Oh man, my password manager once locked me out so long I almost went back to using "password123" for everything...

Wait you actually considered going back to "password123"... @quinncoleman that's terrifying. I can't even imagine typing that into a website now. The whole point of the manager is to stop that exact habit. Getting locked out is the worst feeling, but giving up and using a terrible password is like fixing a leaky roof by just moving your bed... it doesn't actually solve the problem, it just makes a new one.

Forgot my master password once and had to reset everything. It's a pain, but still better than using the same weak password everywhere.
